“Meblościanka” workshop were organised in 2008 by Meble Vox and the main aim was to reintroduce the furniture wall unit as an idea of modern furniture. Meblościanka (furniture wall unit) was a storage system inspired by modernistic ideas and popularised in poland during the communistic era. Due to negative connotations, nowadays it is extinct. In workshop took part over 30 designers – from whole Poland and from Royal College of Art in London. Works were coordinated by Tomek Rygalik, Michael Mariott i Luke Pearson from Royal College of Art.

 

My interpretation of theme is a modul shelf, which elements like bricks allows to build a furniture wall just the way we want it. Separate modules can be joined with aluminium clips. My project has won a honourable mention after the ‘Meblościanka 2008′ workshop.

 

“Meblościanka” to warsztaty projektowe zorganizowane w 2008 roku przez firmę Meble VOX. W warsztatach wzięło udział ponad 30 projektantów – polskich studentów i absolwentów z wydziałów projektowych oraz studentów Royal College of Art w Londynie . Pracę uczestników warsztatów koordynowali Tomek Rygalik, Michael Mariott i Luke Pearson z Royal College of Art.

 

Moja interpretacja tematu to modułowa półka, z której elementów, jak z cegieł, można zbudować najbardziej odpowiadającą nam meblową ścianę. Osobne moduły można połączyć aluminiowym klipsem. Mój projekt został wyróżniony przez jury konkursu.
